Our Grading System
Every pallet we sell goes through a rigorous multi-point inspection. We grade each pallet so you know exactly what you are getting — no surprises.
Grade A
Premium / Like New
Top-quality pallets that have been used once or twice. Minimal cosmetic wear, no broken boards, no protruding nails. Ideal for retail displays, export shipments, and operations requiring a professional appearance.
Grade B
Standard / Good
Solid, functional pallets with moderate cosmetic wear. May have minor staining or slight board discoloration. All structural components are intact and fully functional. Our best-selling grade for warehousing and general freight.
Grade C
Economy / Fair
Budget-friendly pallets with visible wear. May have repaired boards, minor patches, or cosmetic imperfections. Structurally sound and inspected for safety. Perfect for one-way shipments, internal warehouse use, and cost-conscious operations.
Our Inspection Process
Every pallet passes through our quality control line before it reaches your facility. Our trained inspectors check for structural integrity, board condition, nail safety, moisture content, and overall appearance.

Why the Pallet Market Keeps Growing
The global pallet market has grown at a compound annual rate of over 5% for the past decade, driven by e-commerce expansion, just-in-time manufacturing, and increasingly complex global supply chains. As companies ship more goods to more destinations, pallet demand rises in lockstep. The COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent supply chain disruptions further highlighted the critical role pallets play in keeping goods moving.
Sustainability is another major driver. Corporations and government agencies alike are mandating recycled and reusable packaging materials, and pallets sit at the center of that shift. By choosing used and recycled pallets, businesses can cut their packaging carbon footprint by up to 80% compared to single-use alternatives.
At EcoPallets Pro, we see this trend firsthand. Our recycled pallet sales have grown more than 35% year over year as more businesses recognize the cost and environmental benefits of giving pallets a second, third, or even fifth life.

How to Choose the Right Pallet
Selecting the correct pallet for your application involves weighing several factors. Use this guide to narrow down the best material, size, and grade for your specific operation.
Consider Your Load Weight
Light loads under 1,500 lbs can use economy-grade wood pallets or lightweight plastic nestable pallets. Medium loads of 1,500 to 3,000 lbs require standard GMA wood or stackable plastic pallets. For heavy loads exceeding 3,000 lbs, choose reinforced wood, rackable plastic, or metal pallets engineered for high-capacity applications.
Match Your Storage System
Floor-stacked operations work with any pallet type. Selective pallet racking requires pallets rated for racking loads, typically GMA wood or reinforced plastic. Drive-in and push-back racking systems demand tight dimensional tolerances, making plastic or metal the best choice. Automated storage and retrieval systems need precision-molded plastic or CNC-fabricated metal.
Evaluate Your Industry Requirements
Food and pharmaceutical operations often mandate non-porous, washable surfaces, pointing toward plastic or stainless steel. Export shipments to most countries require ISPM-15 compliant wood or fumigation-exempt plastic. Chemical environments demand acid and solvent-resistant materials like HDPE, PP, or stainless steel.
Think About Trip Frequency
One-way shipments where you do not expect the pallet to return are best served by economy-grade wood or lightweight nestable plastic. Multi-trip closed-loop systems benefit from durable plastic or metal pallets that deliver a lower cost per trip over time. Rental and pool programs typically use standardized GMA wood or CHEP-style plastic.
Factor In Environmental Conditions
Indoor climate-controlled warehouses work with all materials. Outdoor storage exposes pallets to rain, UV, and temperature swings — galvanized metal or UV-stabilized plastic is best. Cold chain and freezer environments require materials that do not absorb moisture or become brittle, such as plastic or stainless steel.
Calculate Total Cost of Ownership
The cheapest pallet per unit is not always the cheapest pallet per use. A $5 used wood pallet that lasts 5 trips costs $1 per trip. A $50 plastic pallet that lasts 200 trips costs just $0.25 per trip. Metal pallets at $150 lasting 500+ trips cost under $0.30 per trip. Always calculate cost per trip, not just unit price.
Wood vs. Plastic vs. Metal: Full Comparison
Every material has strengths and trade-offs. This side-by-side comparison covers the key factors that matter most when choosing between wood, plastic, and metal pallets for your operation.
Every Pallet Reused Is a Tree Saved
At EcoPallets Pro, sustainability is not a marketing slogan — it is the foundation of our business model. Every pallet we recycle, repair, and resell directly reduces timber demand, landfill waste, and carbon emissions.
Our Environmental Impact
The average wood pallet uses approximately 12 board feet of lumber. By recycling and reusing pallets, EcoPallets Pro diverts over 6 million board feet of lumber from landfills annually. That is the equivalent of saving roughly 500 acres of harvestable forest each year. Our repair operations extend pallet lifespans by 3 to 5 additional use cycles, further multiplying the environmental benefit.
End-of-life pallets that cannot be repaired are ground into wood mulch, animal bedding, or biomass fuel — ensuring zero waste to landfill. Our 95% landfill diversion rate means that only 5% of material we handle ever enters the waste stream, and we are actively working to reduce that number to under 2% by 2027.
When you buy used or recycled pallets from EcoPallets Pro, you are directly contributing to a circular economy. Your purchasing decisions support reduced deforestation, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and a healthier planet for future generations.
Frequently Asked Questions
Get quick answers to the most common questions about our pallet products, ordering process, and delivery options.
What is the minimum order quantity?
There is no minimum order requirement for most standard pallet sizes. Whether you need 10 pallets or 10,000, we are happy to serve you. For custom-built pallets, we recommend a minimum of 50 units to keep per-unit costs reasonable, though we can accommodate smaller runs for prototyping and testing.
How fast can you deliver?
Most standard wood pallets in Grade A, B, and C ship within 48 hours of order confirmation. Plastic and metal pallets typically ship within 3 to 5 business days. Custom orders depend on complexity but our average lead time is 7 to 14 business days from design approval. We offer same-day pickup at our facility for local customers.
Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes. We provide tiered pricing based on order quantity. Orders of 100 or more pallets receive our standard volume discount. Orders of 500 or more qualify for our bulk rate. For truckload quantities of 1,000 or more, we offer our best pricing with free delivery within our service area. Contact us for a custom quote.
Are used pallets safe and reliable?
Absolutely. Every used pallet we sell goes through our multi-point quality inspection process. We check structural integrity, board condition, nail safety, moisture content, and dimensional accuracy. Pallets that do not meet our standards are repaired or recycled — they never reach your facility. Our grading system (A, B, C) gives you full transparency about condition.
Can I return pallets I no longer need?
Yes. We operate a pallet buyback program for businesses with surplus pallets. We will pick up your excess pallets, inspect them, and pay you a fair market price based on condition and quantity. This is a great way to recover costs and keep pallets out of the waste stream. Contact us for a buyback quote.
Do you deliver nationwide?
We deliver throughout the continental United States. Our fleet handles local and regional deliveries directly, and we partner with national carriers for long-distance and cross-country shipments. Truckload, less-than-truckload (LTL), and flatbed delivery options are all available depending on your order size and location.
What is the difference between Grade A, B, and C pallets?
Grade A pallets are premium quality with minimal wear, suitable for retail displays and export. Grade B pallets are our best sellers, offering solid performance with minor cosmetic imperfections at a lower price. Grade C pallets are budget-friendly options with visible wear that are still structurally sound for internal use and one-way shipments.
Do you offer heat-treated pallets for export?
Yes. We maintain a large inventory of ISPM-15 compliant heat-treated (HT) pallets ready for immediate shipment. We also offer heat treatment services for pallets you already own at our certified treatment facility. All treated pallets receive the official IPPC stamp and full compliance documentation for customs clearance.
